The Pastoral Council continually reviews and evaluates all the activities through which the parish community strives to fulfill the goals of the Parish Mission Statement. Working in an advisory capacity, the Council assists the pastor in providing leadership for parish ministries, programs, and activities.

Catholic pastors consult pastoral councils in order to be better leaders. Bishops and priests ask their councillors to investigate some aspect of the church, reflect on it, and recommend their conclusions. In brief, the work of the pastoral council is pastoral planning.
Parish Pastoral Councils study pastoral issues, reflect on them, and recommend conclusions. This threefold process may be called “pastoral planning.”
The Finance Council consists of parishioners who are experts in the fields of finance, business, and accountancy. The Council advises the Pastor on financial matters of the Parish, conducts an annual budget review, and assists the Pastor in creating an annual financial report for the parish.
